Tianyi Kung Fu Club offers training in both the internal and external martial arts. External martial arts are based on the philosophy of Zen Buddhism while Internal martial arts are based on philosophical Toaism. While they are distinct training systems with their own training techniques, forms and styles, there are many similar aspects.

It is a misconception that external martial arts only focus on hard structure while internal arts only focus on qi building. In fact, good training should offer both. Ultimately, the styles teach one to keep the body relaxed and supple in order to generate the strength, speed, and power necessary for self-defense and health. When the body is in a relaxed state, its potential is able to be achieved.

Our training system is composed of basic techniques, forms and weaponry.
